SSPNet 2013 - SSPNet Summer School on Social Signal Processing

The mission of the school is to provide interested researchers, in particular PhD students and researchers at the earliest stages of their career, with an extensive introduction to the three core areas of SSP:
Modelling: the study of laws and principles underlying social interactions and the role that nonverbal behavior plays in these
Analysis: investigation and development of automatic approaches for extraction and interpretation of nonverbal behavoral cues in data captured with microphones, cameras and any other suitable sensor
Synthesis: automatic generation of appropriate nonverbal behavior via different forms ef embodiment like conversational agents, robots, etc.
Besides being a chance for interacting with some of the most important experts of the domain, the school will be an opportunity to network with a large number of colleagues interested, from the most diverse and interdisciplinary points of view, in human-human and human-machine communication.
