bring together leading experts in the fields of soft computing, computational
intelligence, and data mining and young researchers, postdocs, postgraduate and
graduate students, and interested audience. The summer school will also welcome
senior researchers interested in soft computing and computational intelligence
and the possibilities to exploit it in their own fields of research. One of the
main aims of the summer school will be to provide a friendly platform for
interdisciplinary networking among the participants.
The summer school will be presented by a distinguished group of expert lecturers
from academia and industry who will lead a variety of courses on topics related
to soft computing, computational intelligence, data mining, and its
applications. The majority of the tutors will be present during the whole
duration of the school to interact and collaborate with the students.
The Cybernetics Summer School is intended to spread the latest trends
and best practices in the design and development of intelligent applications for
large scale data mining and processing. The summer school will provide a rich
program consisting of both introductory and advanced formal sessions and
enjoyable informal social activities. The electronic copy of all course lectures
will be presented to participants.
This year's Cybernetics Summer School will be co-located with a number of
related conferences including the International Conference on Genetic and
Evolutionary Computing and International Conference on Innovations in
Bio-Inspired Computing and Applications. This will offer to the students a
great opportunity to attend conferences and workshops in the same venue
directly after the school ends. For more details on the Cybernetics Summer
