The Fifth International Conference on Climate: Impacts and Responses, held in Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel?Port Louis, Maritius 18-19 July 2013, is for any person with an interest in, and concern for, scientific, policy and strategic perspectives in climate change. It will address a range of critically important themes relating to the vexing question of climate change. Plenary speakers will include some of the world’s leading thinkers in the fields of climatology and environmental science, as well as numerous paper, workshop and colloquium presentations by researchers and practitioners. We are inviting proposals for paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, posters/exhibits, or colloquia. The themes underlying this community include:
? Scientific Evidence
? Assessing Impacts in Divergent Ecosystems
? Human Impacts and Impacts on Humans
? Technical, Political and Social Responses

Virtual participation is available for those who are unable to attend the conference in person. Proposals for virtual presentations may be submitted at any time, up to the start of the conference. All conference registrants (in-person and virtual) may also submit their written papers for publication in the International Journal of Climate Change: Impacts and Responses.

The Climate Change Conference will feature plenary sessions by some of the world's leading thinkers and innovators in the field, as well as numerous parallel presentations by researchers and practitioners. This year's plenary speakers include:
