The 17th Congress the International Association of Physical Education and Sport for Girls and Women (IAPESGW) will be held in Havana, Cuba, 10 - 13 April, 2013.
The four key themes of the Congress are:
1. Pedagogy: Physical Education, School Sport and Dance in Education;
2. Leadership and Coaching from grassroots to high performance;
3. Education and development through sport.;
4. Embracing diversity: opportunities for all.
Keynote speakers include:
Prof. Doune MacDonald - Head of the School of Human Movement Studies, Queensland University, Australia;
Prof. Rosa López de D’Amico - Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador Maracay, Venezuela;
Prof. Darlene Kluka - Dean of the School of Human Performance and Leisure Sciences, Barry University, Florida, United States of America;
Dr. C. Gladys Bequer - National Director of Physical Education and Health Promotion, INDER, Cuba;
