Scope and Motivation.
The Latin-American Master Thesis Contest it is an annual event that takes place in conjunction with the Conference organized by the Centro Latinoamericano de Estudios en Informática (CLEI). The objective is to disseminate and transmit the work of Latin American students who have recently completed their Master Thesis in Computer Science.
Graduated students in Master programs in Latin American Universities during the period, April 1st, 2012 up to March 31th, 2013 may participate in the contest. The work submitted must be individual (can not be in group).
To participate in the contest, a summary of the thesis should be submitted. A Committee will select the three best Theses.
To receive the award each winning Thesis must be presented orally at CLEI 2013. The summary of each winning Thesis will be published in the proceedings of the XXXIX Conferencia Latinoamericana de Informática, to be held in Venezuela, 7 - 11 October 2013.

XXXIX CLEI will be held at the yacht club Puerto Azul (http://www.puertoazul.com), near the town of Naiguatá Venezuelan Caribbean beachfront. The club is located 32 km from the International Airport of Maiquetia and 55 km from the city of Caracas. CLEI is organized by Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, Universidad Central de Venezuela and Universidad Simón Bolívar
Information for the Submission
Papers could be written in Spanish, Portuguese or English and have to be submitted until April 15, 2013 in PDF format according to the CLEI 2013 home page (http://clei2013.org.ve/):

? Three (3) files must be sent, each one of which must adjust to the following indications:
FIRST FILE (PRESENTATION PAGE) Must be in PDF format:
? Work Title
? Author name and e-mail (we repeat that only individual work will be accepted);
? Institution of origin,
? Institution address, including telephone and fax; and
? Name, e-mail and address of the Thesis director.
The following two PDF files must go together in a compressed .zip file that must be attached in the section of “attachment”.
SECOND FILE (MASTER THESIS SUMMARY) The summary must be between 10 to 20 long pages in Spanish, Portuguese or English. It must be sent in PDF format, suiting to CLEI 2013 format.
THIRD FILE (PROVING DOCUMENTATION) PDF format digitalized version of every document necessary to demonstrate the authors’ grade (a copy of the Master grade certificate within the set dates in this calling or an equivalent document).
Note: In the section of “abstract” you must include a summary of not more than 300 words. In the section of “keywords” you must include up to five referring keywords to your work. These two sections are part of the 2nd file.
