CALL FOR PAPERS

The Executive Committee invites proposals for panels, roundtables, and individual papers to be presented at the Fourteenth Asian Studies Conference Japan, to be held at
Waseda University, Tokyo, on Saturday and Sunday, June 19 - 20, 2010.

CALENDAR

September 1 (Wednesday), 2009 - Applications for the 2010 conference are now being accepted.

The online forms are now available from the proposal page, which sets out the requirements for individual paper proposals, panel proposals, and roundtable proposals.

November 20 (Friday) - Deadline for all proposals to participate in the 2010 conference.

Mid- to late December, 2009. Announcement of results of applications. All those who applied to give individual papers will be contacted by email, as will organizers of panels and roundtables. Panel and roundtable organizers should contact everyone on their panel to let them know the result.

February 15, 2010 - All those on the program, including discussants, should confirm by their intention to participate. Those requiring a formal letter of invitation should apply for one by this date. Use the confirmation form.

February 20, 2010 - Opening of online registration for presenters and other participants whose names are to appear on the program. The conference fee can be paid either by bank transfer or by faxing a credit card authorization form.

April 20, 2010 - General registration for all others attending the conference opens on this date.

April 20, 2010 - Last day for presenters to register. All presenters and other participants whose names are to appear on the program should complete registration and payment by this date.

April 30, 2010 - Any late changes to titles and abstracts should be received by this date so that ASCJ can prepare printed and online programs.

mid-May, 2010 - Full program will be available online. This program will be updated regularly up to the date of the conference.

June 10, 2010 - Last day for general registration in advance by bank transfer or fax.

June 19-20, 2010. Fourteenth Annual Conference held at Waseda University.
