ICSR 2013 will host a Doctoral Symposium. The goal is to bring together doctoral students working in the area of software reuse and to provide feedback on their current and proposed research. Software engineering works that are related to software reuse are also welcome. Doctoral students researching the use of reuse in the development of critical systems are particularly encouraged to submit. Participants will be asked to prepare a presentation including a discussion of the main research challenges, solution directions, results obtained thus far, evaluation plan, and research plan towards the completion of the Ph.D. studies. It must be limited to twenty minutes and slides are strongly encouraged. An expert panel composed of software reuse researchers will provide feedback to help students shape their work.
Accepted papers will appear in the ICSR Proceedings.
Paper Submissions
All current doctoral students are invited to submit papers for consideration. The event serves as an opportunity to receive early feedback on a new idea or later feedback to help tune a paper or dissertation.
All submissions are limited to four pages in length and must conform to Springer's Lecture Notes in Computer Science format . Submissions should be sent to Ibrahim Habli (Ibrahim.Habli at york.ac.uk). Please include "ICSR DS Submission" in the subject line. The submission should contain the problem description, research questions, research methodology (your approach to the problem), preliminary results, related work, evaluation (results or plan), and references. Please, also include in the first page the following information: the date (month/year) that you started your Ph.D., the expected defense date (month/year), and the official advisor’s name. An expert panel will evaluate all submissions and accepted papers will be presented in the ICSR Doctoral Symposium.
It is important to notice that the person that will present an accepted paper must be the doctoral student, author of the paper. Professors and colleagues are not allowed to present papers on behalf of the doctoral student.
