The 1st IEEE International Workshop on Broadcast and User-generated Content Recognition and Analysis (BRUREC) will be held in conjunction with ICME 2013, in Fairmont Hotel, San Jose, California, USA.
BRUREC aims to focus on algorithms, systems, applications, and standards for content recognition and analysis that can be applied across video and audio domains. The workshop will cover all aspects on multimedia data generated by broadcast media such as TV and Radio as well as user-generated content such as Youtube and Vimeo. Topics include but are not limited to:
Video and audio fingerprinting for content identification
Features and descriptors for video and audio content
Large database indexing, matching, and search
Image classification and recognition
Audio and visual content clustering
Machine learning for content classification
Segmentation and classification of audio & visual content
Evaluation of content-based identification & classification
Automated Content Recognition (ACR)
Content identification in mobile devices
TV-centric content analysis and recognition
Automatic content recognition from TV or Radio
Implementation of content recognition systems & services
Emerging standards of automatic content identification
Other content recognition based applications (e.g., recommendation and ad targeting)
