CV2N 2013 - The International Workshop on Connected Vehicles and Vehicular Networks (CV2N)
Topics/Call fo Papers
The 2013 International Workshop on Connected Vehicles and Vehicular Networks is to be held in conjunction with the 2013 IEEE World Cybermatics Congress (IEEE iThings/CPSCom/GreenCom 2013), Beijing, China, August 20-23, 2013.
About
Connected vehicles and vehicular networks have been identified as a key technology for increasing road safety and transport efficiency. In recent years, vehicle infrastructure integration technology attracts a great amount of attentions, and it can also bring inestimable economic value, and will play an important role in the next generation of intelligent transportation systems and communication network development.
The goal of this workshop is to present and discuss the recent advances in the connected vehicles and vehicular networks. The related technologies, which are generally referred VCS (Vehicular Communication Systems), include vehicle-to-infrastructure, vehicle-to-vehicle communications etc. They can be realized based on short- and medium-range communication as well as on cellular systems. The workshop will cover all vehicular wireless networking aspects using a variety of wireless communication techniques, such as WiFi, Zigbee, Bluetooth, DSRC, WiMAX, 3G, LTE. The topics not only cover the design and implementation of connected vehicles and vehicular networks, but also include applications on intelligent transportation systems, vehicle control and safety systems, telematics and infotainment systems.
Topics of Interest
Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
1. Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks Technology
2. Vehicular Wireless Medium Access Control
3. Routings & Protocols for Connected Vehicles
4. Security & Privacy Issues in Vehicle Communication Environment
5. Safety & non-safety applications of Connected Vehicles
6. Automotive Electronics and Automatic Control in Vehicular Networks
7. Traffic & Transportation Systems in Vehicular Networks
8. Telematics and Mobile Internet
Submission
Prospective authors are invited to submit papers (IEEE standard format, double column, 10-point font, 6 pages maximum) for presentation at the conference. The IEEE templates can be found at:
