DM-CPS 2013 - First International Workshop on Data Management for Cyber Physical System

In recent years, Cyber-Physical System (CPS) has become one of the hottest research topics in both computing and engineering disciplines. CPS combines computing and networking power with physical components. As a result, it enables innovation in a wide range of domains, such as smart grid, intelligent transportation system, and mobile healthcare system.
Data management has become one of the main challenges for CPS. For example, a large amount of data are generated from various sensors in mobile healthcare system to monitor the vital signs of patients, such as heart rate, blood pressure, blood glucose level, etc. These data come from different sources and are measured in different units. Thus, it is challenging to properly manage, understand, and use these data.
This one-day workshop, co-located with MDM 2013, brings the researchers together to exchange ideas on data management for CPS. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:
Theoretical foundation for data management in CPS,
Data replication, migration and dissemination in CPS,
Semantic data management for CPS,
Privacy-preserving data mining for CPS,
Data management for specific application of CPS, such as smart grid, intelligent transportation system, and mobile healthcare system, etc.,
Secure and trustworthy data management for CPS,
Other relevant CPS topics.
