IWNMM 2013 - 2013 International Workshop on Network Management and Monitoring
Topics/Call fo Papers
International Workshop on Network Management and Monitoring (IWNMM-2013) offer an opportunity at the international level for researchers and industrials to present their novel and innovative methodologies, techniques, tools and real-life experiences concerning network management and monitoring. The workshop solicits papers on both completed work and work-in-progress. Papers that bring out new and interesting approaches at an early stage of their development are very welcome. IWNMM-2013 will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (25-28 June 2013) in conjunction with the 4th International Conference on Ambient Systems, Networks, and Technologies (ANT-2013) which draws many leading researchers in the field of networking.
Scope
This workshop (IWNMM-2013) is intended to present recent research developments and efforts in addressing major challenges in network traffic management and monitoring. As many of the existing approaches lack controllability, scalability and testability in operational networks. Similarly, existing end-to-end monitoring applications usually depend on low-level network activity information, such as MIB parameters, interface logs, traffic counters or signatures. Therefore, a major challenge is the way of monitoring these distributed outputs to provide a global knowledge of real-time network operations and then efficiently managing modern networks.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
Network Management
Network Traffic Monitoring
Analysis and Anomaly Detection
Quality of Service Measurement
Traffic Analysis and Classification
Topology Measurement techniques
Performance Analysis
Network Tomography
Network Optimization Techniques
Formal models for network management
Automatic and adaptive control of networks
Algorithms and protocols for distributed monitoring and threshold detection
Resource management of multi-access networks
Scalable management approaches
Network management standards
Testbed, experimental and industrial evaluations
