This Conference will focus on the science, development and application of novel pond technologies and related systems for municipal, domestic and industrial wastewater treatment within the broader context of environmental and economic sustainability. Contributions dealing with the integrated wastewater management and assessment of technological and environmental issues related to the operation of wastewater treatment plants by ponds technology will be specially acknowledged. Therefore, the list of topics covered by the conference will include:
Conventional and new pond systems
Integration of pond technology with other systems (e.g. anaerobic reactors, constructed wetlands, etc.)
Eco-hydrodynamic modelling and simulation of pond systems
