Overview : Change is normal, natural, and inevitable. This seminar focuses on understanding the positive and negative ways people respond to change; how to move successfully through the common stages of change; how to develop resilience when confronted with undesirable change; and how to coach employees during times of change.
Why should you attend: During these times of corporate mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, attempting to accomplish more with fewer resources, downsizing, and aggressive competition in the marketplace, having a workforce that adapts effectively to organizational change is critical. When management and human resource professionals have an understanding of how to lead their employees through change well, it can set the stage for a successful transition. In this webinar, we will discuss the stages of change, how to manage our own reticence, fears and anxieties, and how to fruitfully guide employees through a new work experience. We will examine styles of change leadership, as well as the causes of resistance to change. We will review how to set the stage for change, the importance of employee involvement and buy in, how to hear employees' concerns, and how to respond supportively.

Dr. Martin, a licensed psychologist, oversees HRI's clinical department, consisting of intake EAP counselors, face-to-face counselors, and management consultants.
Dr. Martin is responsible for the operation of HRI's EAP, implementation of new policies and procedures to ensure quality service delivery for clients, and training EAP staff members. He has more than 26 years of experience managing and supervising mental health and EAP professionals, practicing psychotherapy, consulting with management and HR in corporate settings on behavioral health issues, and intervening in crisis situations for both small and large-scale disasters.
