On behalf of the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, it is my great honor to have an opportunity to invite you to the 20th International Congress on Sound and Vibration (ICSV20), which will be held 7-11 July 2013 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Faculty of Science takes pride in our educational devotion as being the first university in Thailand. Research activities in all forms are always encouraged and promoted. We, therefore, proudly support the organization of this congress since we realize how crucial it is to keep up with the research in these areas and to apply knowledge to solve related practical problems.
I strongly believe that having a chance to host the ICSV20 is by far one of the highest honours a delegation can take on, and a truly enriching and thrilling experience. This will allow us to bring hundreds of scientists and engineers from around the world to Bangkok. Not only will we experience a great deal of frontier advancement in acoustics and vibration from world renowned experts, but this will also raise the awareness of the importance of acoustics and vibration technologies to society.
Exchange of new findings and ideas are what we anticipate all participants to experience at the ICSV20 congress. This should lead to an expansion of research networks and ultimately strong collaborations between scientists and engineers. Bangkok is a home to versatile conventions and event facilities as well as various kinds of cultural experiences. Having won many international awards, Bangkok is an ideal venue for successful conventions. I am certain that you will enjoy not only the scientific programme, but also the pleasant environment that Bangkok offers as well.
Let us welcome you to the gateway of South East Asia.
Prof. Dr. Supot Hannongbua
Dean of Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University
