SOA-KME 2013 - The 2nd International workshop on New Trends in Service Oriented Architecture for massive Knowledge processing in Modern Enterprise (SOA-KME-2013)
Topics/Call fo Papers
Scope
The success of modern large enterprises is strictly related among others to the ability to support innovation, to improve Learning organization capabilities supporting workers to track and measure their daily activities with respects to the organizational ones, to support continuous learning of the workers improving their knowledge and expertise, to capture tacit knowledge and make it directly accessible to the workers. In order achieve these objectives it is needed to mine, analyse and understand structured and unstructured data repositories in order to extract information, structure them in terms of knowledge, represent everything using semantic web schemas facilitating correlation, surfing and querying. Structured and unstructured information are managed by systems belonging to different business unit often organised in IT islands. Also the advent of Enterprise 2.0 considerable contributes to increase the data sources and the nature of information (internal blog, customer support, community blog, internal forum, etc.). Service Oriented Architectures are demonstrating their effectiveness in connecting these IT islands and facilitating access to data.
The aim of the workshop is to discuss about the design and development of these SOA infrastructures providing successful examples of advanced knowledge based software solutions able to mine massive data, using linked data approaches to extract piece of enterprise knowledge in real time supporting decision making in different enterprise core business like Human Resource Management, Customer Relationship Management, Learning and training, etc.
Topics
Topics of interest include but not limited to the following:
- Models and semantic schemas for enterprise data representation and correlation
- Algorithms, approaches and tools for data analysis in enterprise social and collaboration context
- Advanced Software Architecture for knowledge driven adaptive learning
- Enterprise Software Architecture
- Linked data
- Adaptive Systems and solutions for Knowledge management in social enterprise
- Knowledge based Human Resource Management
- Software Architecture and systems for knolwedge based adaptive Learning management systems
- Computational Intelligence approaches for knowledge discovery in Enterprise
- Software Architectures, systems and applications for linked-data
- Storage systems for massive knowledge and semantic data processing
- Machine Learning
- Recommender Systems
- Trust and privacy
Papers must describe original work, and must not have been accepted or submitted for publication elsewhere. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be published by IEEE Computer Society.
