Aim and Scope
Smart technologies and multimedia systems are being used to control the growing energy demands of communications and information sector, as well as manage the exceptional increase in information resources made available through the internet. To make convenient smart world, many sensors, devices and equipments should be applied, and many kinds of multimedia applications should be used efficiently and effectively. This special issue will provide a chance for academic and industry professionals to discuss recent progress in the area of multimedia applications can be used by smart devices and equipments in ubiquitous environment. Topics of relevance include but are not limited to the following areas. Excellent surveying works in these areas are welcome, too:

When uploading your paper, please ensure that your manuscript is marked as being for this special issue. Information about the manuscript (title, full list of authors, corresponding author’s contact, abstract, and keywords) should also be sent to the corresponding editor Sabah Mohammed (sabah.mohammed-AT-lakeheadu.ca). All the papers will be peer-reviewed following the MTAP reviewing procedures.
