Topics/Call fo Papers

IEEE master brandThe program committee solicits original research papers to be considered for presentation at the conference and publication in conference proceedings. Special/invited session proposals, tutorial proposals, and workshop proposals are also welcome.
Topics of interest and instructions for conference contribution are listed below.
TOPICS OF INTEREST
MSC 2013 areas of interest traditionally include a wide range of topics in control systems, technology, and applications.
This year, in addition to such topics, we would like to address new and emerging research areas in control, such as:
systems of systems
robotics
intelligent autonomous systems and computational intelligence
architectures for intelligent control
control inspired by systems biology (entirely new theoretical and application problems arise when addressing questions in the field of systems biology)
vision in control
control theory in psychology and sociology
next generation healthcare and healthcare delivery
fuzzy discrete event systems
quantum control and quantum feedback control
application of control theory in economics
networked control systems
control applications in new energy resources
energy grid control
cloud computing in control applications
marine control systems
automotive control systems
control of constrained systems
manufacturing systems control (planning and scheduling)
PAPER SUBMISSION AND REVIEW
The conference will use IEEE CSS's conference management system PaperPlaza for paper submission, review, and author registration processes.
Papers submitted to MSC 2013 must be original, not previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere, and they must not be submitted to any other event or publication during the entire review process. IEEE policy regarding plagiarism, self-plagiarism and duplicate submission/publication will be strictly enforced. Papers must be submitted electronically by the submission deadline through http://css.paperplaza.net/. Submitted papers will undergo a peer review process, coordinated by the Program Committee. Submission of a paper implies that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors must register and present the paper at the conference.
PAPER FORMAT
Paper submissions should follow the IEEE double-column format for conferences (templates will be available on the conference Web site). A maximum of 8 pages (6 plus 2 additional pages incurring a nominal fee) are allowed for each paper, all figures and references included. Templates for LaTeX and MS Word are available inside PaperPlaza's Support Menu. See detailed instructions for manuscript preparation.
SPECIAL/INVITED SESSION PROPOSALS
Proposals should be submitted directly to the submission site by the due date. A special/invited session proposal should contain the session organizer(s) short bio and contact information, the special session title, summary, and objectives, and the list of authors and papers to be included in the session. Papers must be submitted electronically in final form by the due date, stating on the front page the special session title. Special/invited session papers will follow the standard peer review process.
WORKSHOP AND TUTORIAL PROPOSALS
A Workshop/Tutorial proposal should focus on a specific theme related to the main conference topics, describing objectives and expected outcomes. The tutorial proposal should contain the tutorial summary and outline and the presenter's short bio and contact information. The workshop proposal should include the workshop chair(s) short bio and contact information, and the list of speakers. Proposals for workshops should be submitted via PaperPlaza by the due date. Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by the Organizing Committee members.
