Topics/Call fo Papers
We are happy to report that we have finalized the Call for Papers for the 2013 annual meeting. A PDF version can be found below in "Reference Documents." To see the sessions organized by topics please click on the Sessions by Topic link on the toolbar. Thanks are owed to the members of the Program Committee, colleagues who agreed to organize a session, and all those who contributed ideas and suggestions.
The website is now ready to accept submissions of papers and posters for the annual meeting. If you are new to the process please read the detailed instructions in the first page of the Call for Papers. A summary follows.
Please note that all meeting participants must register for the meeting at the member or non-member rate. Please visit the PAA website www.populationassociation.org for a membership application form or call the PAA office, 301-565-6710. Meeting registration opens in January 2013.
Online Submission Process
When you are ready to submit a paper or poster come to this website and follow the Login/Registration link on the toolbar. Please ensure that your contact information is accurate. Then select "submit a paper" on your switchboard. You will be asked to enter the title, authors, and a short abstract (150 words). You are also required to upload an extended abstract (2-4 pages), or the complete paper, either in Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word document format. Finally, you must select your first and second choice sessions and whether you would like your paper to be considered for a poster session. You can return to this site at any time until 11:59 PM (Pacific Time) on September 21, 2012 to edit or update the information you have provided.
You will be notified by November 5, 2012 whether your paper has been accepted in a regular session, has been recommended for further consideration in an overflow session, or has been recommended for one of the poster sessions (only if you have indicated that you wish your paper to be considered for a poster session). The decisions for overflow sessions will be made by the Program Committee by November 26, 2012, and poster sessions by December 17, 2012. If your paper is accepted for inclusion at the 2013 meeting you will be asked to make any changes to the abstract before February 6, 2013 and to upload the completed paper by March 11, 2013.
