MCM 2013 - 2013 Conference of the Society for Mathematics and Computation in Music

The 2013 conference of the Society for Mathematics and Computation in Music will be held June 12-14 at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
MCM2013 is hosted jointly by the Schulich School of Music at McGill University and by CIRMMT, the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology. The conference will take place in conjunction with a concert produced by the live-AT-CIRMMT series.
The organisers encourage submissions of unpublished research papers that use mathematical and/or computational approaches to address any aspect of music theory, music analysis, or composition. Contributions may be in the form of individual papers (20 mins), panels and joint sessions, workshops and tutorials, or posters. Proposals will be due on January 7 2013; more information will be appearing imminently at this website on submission format and on publication of the proceedings.
Previous conferences of the Society for Mathematics and Computation in Music took place in Berlin (2007), New Haven (2009) and Paris (2011). The Society's website is at http://www.smcm-net.info/
We welcome original and high quality contributions ? including research papers, invited sessions or panels and tutorials ? in all areas related to the mission of the Society of Mathematics and Computation in Music.
