The Fifth International Conference on Measuring Technology & Mechatronics Automation (ICMTMA2013) will be held during January 16~17 , 2013 in Hongkong(China), it is sponsored by Central South University、Intelligent Computation Technology and Automation Reasearch Association, State Key Laboratory of the Exploration and Utilization of Deep-sea Mineral Resource, and other non-profit organizations, as is well known to us all, measuring and mechatronics technology plays a more and more important role in industry advancing now, The conference is aimed at reporting up-to-the-minute innovations and developments, summarizing the state-of-the-art, and providing an international forum to exchange ideas for the domestic and foreign scholars and experts from many areas such as Sensor, Instruments, Mechanic design and manufacturing ,Mechatronics, Material science, Deep-sea Mining control Technology and Equipments automation, intelligent control Technology , Agricultural Equipment and its Automation. the proceedings of the conference will be published by Applied mechanics and materials（AMM, ISSN: 1660-9336） ,and meanwhile will be arranged Ei index and ISTP index, and there are some Ei and SCI Journals for excellent papers (about 250 papers),and all the previous conference (ICMTMA 2009-2012) have been indexed by EI and ISTP.
