Amphion 2012 - The Amphion Forum
Topics/Call fo Papers
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug 02, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Organizers of the Amphion Forum ( https://amphionforum.com ), an event "where security meets the Internet of Things," announced today that the deadline for speaking proposals is August 12, 2012. Individuals and organizations with expertise in mobile security, embedded security, device hacking, public policy and/or mobile security management and implementation should propose talks at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/amphion12SFcfp . Speakers may submit multiple proposals. Speakers who are selected to present will receive a free ticket for themselves and a guest to attend the Amphion Forum on December 5 in San Francisco, valued at more than $1,000.
"Mobile security is a nascent field, but threats to Apple iOS, Android and industrial and medical devices are growing exponentially. There isn't enough information-sharing going on yet among the device security experts in each industry. That's what we want to change with the Amphion Forum," said Kurt Stammberger, CISSP, vice president of market development at Mocana, one of the organizers of the event. "The Amphion Forum provides a unique opportunity for these experts to join with thought leaders from academia, business, government and technology to discuss the threats and opportunities presented by the unprecedented proliferation of networked objects, the Internet of Things.
The Amphion Forum welcomes speaking proposals on these topics:
-- Phone, tablet and consumer electronics security
-- Device hacks, attacks and vulnerabilities
-- MDM, MAM and app security
-- Smart grid and medical device security
-- Industrial automation, embedded and M2M security
Interested speakers can propose talks using the short form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/amphion12SFcfp .
For those interested in attending, and not speaking, registration for the Amphion Forum San Francisco is now open. The event will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on Union Square in San Francisco on December 5, 2012. The Early Bird registration fee for this event is $99 through September 14.
