Interfinish 2012 - The World Interfinish Congress of 2012
Topics/Call fo Papers
The World Interfinish Congress of 2012, organized every 4 years by IUSF (International Union of Surface Finishing), will be held in Milano Italy, in the region where the first electrodeposition experiment was realized by V.Brugnatelli in 1800.
The Interfinish Congresses were originated by the proposal of Dr. Simon Wernick, who was the Secretary of IUSF and was held in many different countries all over the world with great success.
Many other Regional congresses had also taken place with the name of Euro-Interfinish, Asian-Interfinish in the intervals between the World Interfinish congresses. In the world of the surface finishing technologies innovations are increasing with the increase of the possible applications of decorative and functional coatings. Surface is now the most important part of an object, because it is through the surface that it becomes connected with the world outside. Its resistance to corrosion and wear, its appearance and its functionality give quality to the part and render it easy to apply.
The Forum in Italy, in its most prestigious Engineering University, will become the occasion for exchanging knowledge and developing new contacts about emerging technologies, in a field in continuous evolution and key for nano-technological developments, with scientists and engineers coming from all over the world.
Congress Chair: Pietro Luigi Cavallotti
