on a hybridized society it is quite common the overlaying of interests, habits and actions by the ones living on it. however, truth is that these superimpositions are temporary, and eventually generates trends to be followed in very specific manners.

facing popular culture as essentially contemporary, one can foresee innumerous movements that pop up from the quotidian and beg for discussion and observations.

for that matter, CIANTEC invites professors, researchers, students and professionals to deliberate about this so called popular, facing contemporary reality, revealing spaces for arts, new technology and communication.

the subjects of this issue are divided as follow, but not restricted to:

society, culture and art
(spaces, subversion, appropriation, creation, museums, identity)

communication and new media
(design, media, technology, platform, trends)

contemporary art education
(curating, mediation, TIC, production, artist, public)

this issue of CIANTEC will take place in a very convenient place for such theme, INHOTIM (http://www.inhotim.org) on the 12th, 13th and 14th of October.
