The 1st International Workshop on Analytics Services on the Cloud (ASC 2012)
Workshop Website
http://www.cs.ucsb.edu/~xyan/ASC2012/
Workshop Summary:
Every day, quintillions of bytes of data are created in different domains, including Internet, healthcare, retail, social media and so on. Such extremely high-volume, fast-changing and heterogeneous data has created tremendous challenges on analytics for researchers in both industry and academia. It has been clear that traditional data processing techniques are no longer able to meet the increasing demands of big data analytics. The emerging Cloud Computing technology becomes a perfect candidate as a service model to deliver the analytics to end users.
The proposed full-day workshop on Analytics Services on the Cloud follows the increasing interests in big data and analytics services and aims at bringing together researchers from various communities who are interested in these challenges.
