Special Track 3: Internet of Things
Co-chairs: Prof. Fun Hu, University of Bradford, United Kingdom; Mr. Gopinath Rao Sinniah, MIMOS, Malaysia

Internet of Things (IoT) has become an important global research area that is rapidly gaining momentum in the modern wired and wireless communications. The basic idea of IoT is the pervasive presence around us of a variety of things or objects ? such as Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID), sensors, tags, actuators, mobile devices, etc. Using unique addressing mechanism, these objects would be able to communicate and cooperate with each other to achieve its objective. The main strength of IoT is the high impact on several aspects of everyday-life and behaviour of potential users. Some of the applications that IoT can be applied are e-health, assisted living, home and building automation, logistics, industrial manufacturing, intelligent transportation of people and goods.

While IoT promises to provide better assisted living, there are challenging issues that still need to be addressed and both technological and social knots have to be untied before the IoT idea is widely accepted. This special track focuses on the concepts, technological challenges, applications and social aspects of IoT. This track provides an avenue for researchers to discuss on a wide range of topics relevant to IoT and Future trends in Internet. We invite of original and unpublished work covering areas related to IoT including but not limited to the following aspects:

IoT Architecture and Infrastructure
IoT Protocols, Networking and Communications
Social challenges in IoT such as privacy and trust
Emerging IoT Applications and Businesses
Intelligent data processing for IoT
Security and Reliability of IoT system
Future Internet in relation to IoT
Tools, testbeds and simulation results
