HISCVPR 2012 - Special Session on Hybrid Intelligent Systems for Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition
Topics/Call fo Papers
Hybrid Intelligent Systems for Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition
? Rationale of the need and objective of the session
Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition researchers are always fascinated by the use of
intelligent techniques in solving the real world problems. Many intelligent techniques have been
successfully demonstrated the capability of dealing with computer vision and pattern recognition
problems. The purpose of the special session on Hybrid Intelligent Systems for Computer Vision
and Pattern Recognition is to address the latest developments of hybrid intelligent algorithms for
numerous applications in the computer vision and pattern recognition.
This session aims to bring together machine learning and computer vision/pattern recognition
researchers to demonstrate latest progress, emphasize new research questions and collaborate
for promising future research direction.
? Session outline
Special session outline is related to the areas of new hybrid algorithms and solving real world
problems in computer vision and pattern recognition using hybrid intelligent techniques.
The proposed session outline is:
1. New algorithms for hybrid intelligent systems
2. Hybrid intelligent systems for computer vision
3. Hybrid intelligent systems for pattern recognition
? Specific topics of interest
The session will seek original and unpublished research work on all aspects of hybrid intelligent
systems for computer vision and pattern recognition applications including following but not
limited to:
Hybrid intelligent algorithms such as neural learning algorithms, machine learning algorithms,
support vector machines, statistical learning, fuzzy logic, evolutionary computing and
reinforcement learning. Applications in image processing and pattern recognition: image
segmentation, image retrieval, video tracking/analysis, medical imaging, text recognition,
speech recognition and biometrics.
