WaterWorld 2013 - conference and exhibition Water World Middle East 2013
Topics/Call fo Papers
The Middle East’s water sector now only has four days left to submit abstracts for conference and exhibition WaterWorld Middle East 2013.
Quickly establishing itself as the region’s premier conference and exhibition, WaterWorld Middle East 2013 is giving utilities, consultancies and technology providers a final opportunity to share their knowledge, experience and ideas.
The deadline for submitting conference papers was extended to Friday 22 June to boost what has already been a selection of high quality papers already submitted.
This year the WaterWorld Middle East team is inviting papers on topical issues such as wastewater reuse/recycling, cooling water treatment, drinking water membrane desalination and country or regional water sector overviews.
The full list of conference topics will include: water sector structure and regulation; desalination; strategic planning & management; collection & distribution networks; wastewater treatment; drinking water treatment and industrial water treatment.
WaterWorld Middle East is set to be held again in Qatar in February 2013, a country that is leading the GCC’s economic and population growth. Qatar is already one of the largest consumers of water on a per capita basis and, as a result, is expected to invest a further $10 billion in water over the next decade.
Huge investment is also expected over the coming years as a result of Qatar hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where the eyes of the world will focus on the region and adequate water services will be required for thousands of additional visitors.
