1st ACCV Workshop on Computer Vision with Local Binary Pattern Variants

We invite authors to contribute with original articles that will stimulate the research community on the use of LBP and its variants in computer vision. Besides traditional applications, we are particularly interested in articles describing modern fields of LBP applications such as 3D range data analysis, dynamic texture analysis, image and video analysis in unconstrained environments, video synthesis, object tracking and recognition etc.
The topics of interest for this workshop include, but are not limited to:
? Local binary patterns in various computer vision applications
? New variants of local binary patterns
? Novel descriptors inspired by local binary patterns (e.g. local phase quantization (LPQ))
? Comparative analysis of different local binary patterns variants
? New application areas of local binary patterns
? Implementations of local binary patterns in embedded vision systems
? Biomedical image analysis using local binary patterns
? Feature selection and learning methods for local binary patterns
