VCT 2012 - The 2012 FTRA International Workshop on Vehicular Communications Technology (VCT 2012)
Topics/Call fo Papers
The 2012 FTRA International Workshop on Vehicular Communications Technology (VCT 2012) will be held in Jeju, Korea, November 22-25, 2012.
Variety of sensors, radars, cameras, navigation systems, and microprocessors are already being used in vehicles to enable smart and intelligent driving technologies such as lane departure warning, parking assistance, advanced driver assistance, adaptive cruise control, local dynamic map assistance, and so on. These technologies are all give drivers and passengers more safety, comfort and convenience. With the advance of wireless communication technology in recent years, many researchers, vehicle manufacturers, and governors are trying to extend the advanced automobile technologies to the information technology for realizing safer driving environment than it is now.
Topics
Researchers, academicians, students from universities, industry practitioners, and government agencies are invited to discuss research and applications for the topics about the below topics, but are not limited to:
- IT-based Convergence Technology and Service on Intelligent Transportation Systems
- Inter-Vehicle & Infra-Vehicle Communication Technologies
- Vehicle Wireless Medium Access Control & Networking Technology
- Wireless & Wireline Convergence Technology in Vehicle
- Advanced Sensor and Sensor Information Convergence Technology
- High-accuracy Positioning Technology for Vehicle
- Security Issues in Vehicle Communication Environment
- Local Dynamic Map Services
- Remote Vehicle Control Services
