M2A 2012 - First International Workshop From Modelling to Assistance
Topics/Call fo Papers
The first international workshop from Modelling to Assistance (M2A) will be held as a one day event co-located with the 35th German Conference on Artificial Intelligence (KI) 2012. The goal of the M2A workshop is to provide a forum for researchers from both areas - model-based intention recognition and strategy synthesis for smart environments - where current methods for recognizing the user intentions and for providing assistance in smart environments will be discussed. As an outcome of the discussion we intend to assemble a list of successful as well as unsuccessful approaches for the above mentioned challenges: intention recognition and proactive user assistance. Such collection will provide a guideline for best practices and a possible roadmap to success in this research field. Finally, the list will also contain open problems and research suggestions for further investigation of model based intention recognition, proactive assistance and the bridge between the two areas. Please check the call for papers site for more details on the scope of the workshop.
