1.CONFERENCE THEMES
The conference will focus on human dimension of information systems for crisis response and management to deal with theoretical and practical problems of crisis warning, forecasting, supervising, evaluation, drilling and decision making in the fields of natural disasters (such as earthquakes, landslides, tsunamis, typhoon, flood, drought, frost injury, blizzard, sandstorm, etc), environmental disaster, city security, public security, production security, transportation safety and enterprise crisis, etc.
The following themes and topics are for reference, but are not limited to:
●Psychological Behavior in Disaster Response
●Information Acquisition and Fusion (Semantics, Things of Internet, etc)
●Information Adoption
●Mega-City Vulnerability (including Vulnerability of Society)
●Social Network
●Public sentiment Research
●Collaborative Emergency Decision-making
● Information System Design
●Training
●Modeling and Simulation
●Emergency Capability Evaluation
●Risk analysis of natural disaster
●Crisis management in the application of earthquake emergency rescue
In addition, a symposium on Disaster Prevention and Emergency Technique in Asia-Pacific Mega-City will be jointly hosted by Tsinghua University, China and University of Tokyo, Japan for the duration of the conference.
2.PAPER SUBMISSION
●Papers in English should be submitted in an MS Word Format. And the final papers should be within four to six pages of A4 size paper(including figures and tables). Attachment for paper format details is available on the conference website.
●The submitted papers should be original and have not been published elsewhere, including title and abstract, and keywords, body and references.
●All papers should be submitted online, not by email.

3.PAPER PUBLICATION
All accepted papers will be arranged for inclusion in the conference proceedings published by IEEE, and indexed by EI and ISTP Compendex for full-text research.
4.IMPORTANT DATES
Deadline for full paper submission: July 16, 2012
Deadline for notification of acceptance: August 16, 2012
Deadline for final paper Submission: August 31, 2012
