SimVis 2012 - nternational Symposium Simulation-Visualization ? SimVis
Topics/Call fo Papers
Modeling and Simulation is a across a variety of disciplines to develop an understanding of the interaction of the components within a system, and of the system as a whole. Modelling and numerical simulation methods have become the ubiquitous in the development of novel techniques to solve problems across physical sciences, engineering, and social sciences in disciplines such as transportation, infrastructure, manufacturing, business and health. The design and development of simulation-visualisation tools and their applications will have a large impact across a wide range of disciplines, alongside the promotion of cross-disciplinary research.
Simulation-visualization combines tools for the numerical simulation of systems and the visual representation of results. It enables users to produce virtual prototypes, realistically simulating the behavior of complex systems on computers, quickly analysing multiple design variations until an optimal design or required performance is achieved, reducing both prototyping costs and time-to-market. Increasingly inverse simulation methods have been developed to validate existing models and become an important part of the engineering design process.
The visual representation of data is an important part of many engineering and scientific disciplines, whether the output from simulation models or the visualization of large multidimensional data-sets as our ability to acquire and store large amounts of data increases, as does the need to visualise this data.
This symposium will allow for the dissemination of the recent advances in the field of simulation and visualization.
The theme invites papers on all aspects of the theory and application of simulation-visualization tools and methods. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
? Multiphysics modelling, simulation and visualisation
? Physics-based simulation and interactive visualization
? Multidimensional visual analysis for simulation
? Mathematical modelling, simulation and visualisation
? Simulation based design and optimisation
? Web-based simulation and visualisation
? Visualisation Techniques and Algorithms
? Collaborative simulation and visualisation
? Simulation-visualisation tools and applications
? Simulation and visualisation in Engineering
? Simulation and visualisation in Medicine
? Simulation and visualisation in Training and Education
? Simulation and visualisation in Logistics
? Simulation and visualisation of Business Processes
? Simulation and visualisation for Inverse Modelling
? Techniques simulation and visualisation of design, scenario construction, system integration and validation
