IWCCF 2012 - First International Workshop on Cloud Computing for Forensics use IWCCF 2012
Topics/Call fo Papers
At the moment Cloud Computing is an important model to transfer applications, data and services. The Companies, Government and private people are using cloud for lot of services (ex: backup, storage, etc).
This has led to the very quick development of new cyber threats and a lot of information security issues which are exploited by cyber criminals for fraud or for malicious use.
The digital investigations could be an important problem because the procedure and techniques for acquiring information could be different from classical investigations.
For these reasons this workshop is used to describe and find the cloud computing applications for Forensics use. In particular the idea is to use the cloud for specific applications concerning the digital forensics and investigations.
Topics of interests include, but are not limited to:
? manage the digital investigations;
? manage digital evidences and manage the files (ex: dd, ISO, dump, etc);
? arrange and schedule the timing / milestone;
? rebuild the log files;
? rebuild and recovery the file in the cloud file system;
? manage the law in the Cloud Forensics;
? eDiscovery and Litigation;
? store the files for forensics use;
? Digital forensics tools and applications
? Digital forensics case studies and best practices
? Digital forensics for Government and Military
? Network Investigations
