It is a great pleasure to invite you to the International Workshop on Cognitive and Cooperative Wireless Communication Systems (CoCoS 2012) which will take place in conjunction with the IEEE International Congress on Ultra Modern Telecommunications and Control Systems (ICUMT 2012) to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, on October 3-5, 2012. The Workshop will be a one day event. CoCoS 2012 Workshop is anticipated to attract a large number of distinguished submissions highlighting the newest trends and results in the emerging areas of Cognitive and Cooperative Communication Systems. New technologies and concepts such as network coding and mobile clouds are the driving forces for cooperative and cognitive networks. Besides the technical insights, the workshop will encourage the participants to discuss their recent findings among each other.
Workshop Topics:
Authors are invited to submit their original, unpublished research papers in the following, but not limited to, topic areas:
? Principles of Cognitive Radio Systems
? Spectrum Sensing Methods and Applications
? Modulation Detection and Adaptive Demodulation Methods
? Principles of Cooperative Communication and Relaying
? Architectures of Cooperative Mobile Networks
? Relay Selection Techniques
? Power Optimization in Cooperative Networks
? Channel Estimation for Cooperative Communication
? Novel Cooperative Services and Applications
? Cooperative Service Discovery
? Network Coding
? Self Organizing Peer to Peer Networks
? Green Mobile Communications
? Context-aware Cloud Management
? Business Models for Cooperative Networking
? Spectrum management policy and strategy for cognitive networks
? Social Mobile Networks
? Software Defined Radio
? Peer-to-Peer Technologies
? Cross-layer optimization
? Security in Cooperative Wireless Networks
? Mobile Cooperative Applications
? Wireless Sensor Networks
? Wireless Grids
? Mobile Clouds
? Practical implementations, test-beds and demonstrations.
Proceedings:
Prospective authors are encouraged to submit full papers describing original, previously unpublished, complete research results, not currently under review by another conference or journal, addressing state-of-the-art research and development in all areas of cognitive and cooperative wireless communication systems. All papers will be peer reviewed by experts in the field and accepted papers will be presented in oral sessions and published in the conference proceedings, included in IEEE Xplore.
The submission process is carried through the EDAS conference management system (http://edas.info/N12629). The manuscripts must follow the IEEE format. The maximum paper length is of eight (8) pages including tables and figures. Submission of a regular paper implies that at least one of the authors will have a full registration to the Workshop and present the paper upon the acceptance of the submission.
Important dates:
Paper Submission: June 15, 2012
Notification of Acceptance: August 05, 2012
Camera Ready Version Paper Submission / Author Registration: September 01, 2012
Workshop: 3 October 2012, St. Petersburg, Russia.
