IPEC 2012 - 2012 10th International Power & Energy Conference (IPEC 2012)
Topics/Call fo Papers
IPEC2012 continues the long-standing tradition of addressing issues of immediate and long-term interest to researchers and engineers in electrical power and energy engineering. First started in 1993 as the International Power Engineering Conference, nine very successful conferences have been held so far. Since 2010, in line with the global trends in electrical power and energy technologies, IPEC is renamed as the International Power and Energy Conference. IPEC2012 is jointly organized by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, Department of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and the University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and technically sponsored by IEEE. It aims to create a forum for scientists and practicing engineers throughout the world to present the latest research findings and ideas in the areas of power and energy.
IPEC2012 welcomes technical papers and presentations in all areas of power engineering, power electronics, and energy systems. All submitted full papers would be fully peer-reviewed by specialist referees assigned by the technical program committee. Accepted papers shall be included in the IEEE Xplore database and indexed by EI Compendex as well as ISI Proceedings. The topics of interest are broadly categorized into, but not limited to, the following:
Solar photovoltaic devices and systems
Solar thermal technologies
Wind power generation
Marine tidal and wave energy
Other renewable and alternative energy
Fossil fuel, hydro, & nuclear power plants
Energy harvesting and conversion
Distributed generation
Energy storage devices and systems
Fuel cells systems and applications
Energy efficient buildings
Power system planning, control & operation
Power system protection
Power quality
Power electronics and drives
Power transmission and distribution
Flexible AC Transmission Systems
Intelligent energy distribution & management
Smart grids and microgrids
Advanced energy metering, trading and billing
Energy market, policies and economics
Power and energy engineering education
Submission Procedure and Conditions:
Authors are invited to submit full-length papers in IEEE Xplore compliant format. Detailed instructions can be found on the conference website at
http://www.ipec.sg. Please note that the maximum number of pages per
paper is restricted to 6. Additional page charge of S$100.00 per page will apply to papers exceeding the page limit. Papers must be uploaded as PDF files to the conference website directly. Authors whose papers are accepted must register by the early bird deadline of 1 November 2012, in order for their paper(s) to be included in the conference CD-ROM Proceedings. Each full registration is entitled to a maximum of two presentations. Proposals for tutorials and invited sessions are also solicited and should be submitted to the Technical Program Chair Prof. DM Vilathgamuwa via email: emahinda-AT-ntu.edu.sg and the Invited Session Chair, Prof. Z Y Dong via email:zydong-AT-ieee.org
