SPECIAL ISSUE ON ANALYSIS, SIMULATION AND OPTIMIZATION OF ENERGY SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ENERGY OPTIMIZATION AND ENGINEERING (IJEOE)

INTRODUCTION:
The special issue is focused on the energetic, economic and environmental analysis of several energy systems. A wide range of systems and equipments will be relevant for this special issue: fuel cells, advanced heat and power systems, renewable energy systems, solar heating and cooling systems, district heating, heat pumps, refrigeration and air conditioning, carbon capture system, etc. The systems can be analyzed from both experimental and numerical points of view. In case of demonstration projects, a rigorous metrological analysis is required, showing the uncertainty of the reported experimental data. Conversely, papers presenting simulation models must be validated using experimental or literature data. Special attention is also paid to the topic of energy efficiency in buildings. Finally, authors are also encouraged to implement optimization techniques in the analysis of their energy systems.
OBJECTIVE OF THE SPECIAL ISSUE:
The main goal of the special issue consists in providing information on research, development and demonstration of innovative energy system. The issue covers the areas of: energy conversion and optimization, renewable energy sources, optimization of energy processes and mitigation of pollutant emissions. Papers must also analyze the energy systems from an economic point of view. In this case, the use of advanced optimization techniques (thermoeconomics, exergoenvironomics, etc.) is welcome.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE:
Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers for this special theme issue on SIMULATION AND OPTIMIZATION OF ENERGY SYSTEMS on or before 01/04/2013. All submissions must be original and may not be under review by another publication.
