With the rapid proliferation of advanced wireless communication technologies and services, wireless communications are now facing many emerging challenges, including prominently the issue of wireless security. Protection of communication confidentiality of each user and security of critical wireless infrastructure has taken on an increasing important role due to the widespread deployment of various wireless services, dramatic growth of user population, and increasing dependence of our economy and society on wireless communications.
The goal of the IEEE VTC 2012 Fall Workshop on Wireless Security and Emerging Applications is to disseminate the most recent original research results and industrial advancements in the area of wireless security and related applications. Submissions from academia, industry and defence sectors are expected.
The scope of the workshop includes, but is not limited to the following topics:
- Security, privacy and trust analysis
- Threats and counter measures
- Cryptography technique
- Communication confidentiality
- Physical layer security
- Authentication techniques
- Cross-layer security enhancement techniques
- Security risks in mobile network
- Security in WLAN/WMAX
- Security in cognitive radio communications
- Secure communication techniques
- Intrusion detection
- Trust management
- Security in healthcare applications
- Defence/military security
- Security in cloud computing
- Security in decentralized communications
The Workshop on Wireless Security and Emerging Applications will base its reviews on the submission of a 5-page full paper through the conference website at http://vtc12f-workshops.trackchair.com.
