3rd International Conference on Computational Logistics ICCL'12

Date and Location: September 24-26, 2012, Shanghai, China
Deadlines
Proposal for organizing special sessions April 09, 2012
Submission of draft paper April 30, 2012
Notification of acceptance/rejection June 18, 2012
The committee of the 3rd International Conference on Computational
Logistics is inviting high quality papers in the field of logistics
management and operations merging the partly opposed objectives of
sustainability and economic viability. Against the background of
increasing demands from society for better quality of life and growing
environmental problems on the one hand and existing cost and capacity
requirements on the other hand a discussion of promising solution
concepts and best practice applications seems to be necessary more than
ever. Of particular interest are contributions based on heuristic and
formal approaches as well as on innovative IT tools for decision support
in case of inhomogeneous objective systems.
We consider all varieties of logistics activities, taking into account
any mode of transportation or manner of cargo storage, respectively.
Special emphasis will be put on studies about real-world cases providing
practical experiences and insights of the odds and challenges to balance
both (individual) economic interests and the requirements of public
welfare. A non-exhaustive list of topical areas for this conference is
as follows:
* Planning tools and tool-based environments for design of
logistics supra- and infrastructure
* State-of-the-art in computational analysis and evaluation of
environmental impact induced by logistic operations (e.g., air, noise or light pollution)
* Sustainable design and operations of logistics facilities
* Decision support in logistics
* Integrated planning and control of logistic nodes and their
processes
* Theoretical and empirical analysis of logistics operations
* Modeling, simulation and evaluation of the involve organizations
* Heuristics and meta-heuristics implementation in logistics
related models
* ERP and any other information systems related applications in
logistics
* Strategies and operations of logistics service providers
* Service integration of agents or carriers within the
logistics business
* Consolidation and distribution for agents or shippers within
the logistics business
* Cooperation in maritime supply chains / integration of ports
in intermodal hinterland systems
* Advantages and challenges of participative planning / support
of multimedia and planning tools
* Fleet management: comparison of land-based and maritime
systems / integration of sustainability aspects
We kindly invite you to participate in the ICCL 2012.
