EPMTI 2012 - Third Workshop on Engineering Patterns for Multi-Touch Interfaces
Topics/Call fo Papers
Multi-touch is quickly becoming a standard touch technology available on many types of mobile devices and screens. Unfortunately, the diversity of hardware, toolkits, and tools for creating multi-touch interfaces do not promote reuse and standardization when it comes to multi-touch software development This workshop would be the third workshop on creating a body of knowledge on multi-touch software development and to provide a meeting place for designers and developers that engineer multi-touch solutions. The workshop goal remains unchanged: to seek a consensus on methods, approaches, toolkits, and tools that aid in the engineering of multi-touch interfaces (?engineering patterns?) and transcend the differences in available platforms. The interest in and successes of the two previous editions show the need for continuing this engineering-oriented and low-threshold workshop.
