RACIS 2012 - The First International Workshop on Risk Analysis in Complex Information Systems
Topics/Call fo Papers
Today’s modern enterprises no matter small or big have huge dependence on complex information systems (CIS’s). No one can neglect the risks (internal or external) like threats and vulnerabilities associated to applications in information systems.
The importance of risk analysis and management is well recognized in today’s complex information systems. This area is emerging as a critical and challenging aspect of research and innovation. In last few years, it has increased dramatically due to evolution of service oriented architectures and cloud computing.
In this age of outsourcing, it is inevitable that enterprises need to develop such tools and methods that could help them to design and assess processes for the potential threats and vulnerabilities.
This workshop will provide a forum for researchers from diverse backgrounds to contribute in the form of new and extended methods that address the unique challenges in today’s evolving complex information systems. Industry papers are also encouraged at this workshop.
Topics of interest comprise but are not limited to:
? Security metrics for risk analysis in CIS’s
? ICT-enabled risk management
? Visualization and simulation of risk in process models
? Compliance, risk and tolerance metrics
? Data provenance issues and challenges in CIS’s
? Violation detection
? Intelligent security audit log analysis for CIS’s
? Applications, case studies and use cases
? Risk analysis and modeling for CIS’s
? Petri nets and security analysis
? Policy definition and enforcement in CIS’s
? Game theoretic techniques for modeling
? Threat analysis and modeling in CIS’s
? Smart auditing
? Scalability issues in audit log analysis
