The 3SL workshop aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners working in the areas of system security and dependability in relation with the Internet of the things so as to present original results and innovative applications during a half-day workshop taking place in conjunction with iThings 2012 , GreenCom 2012, CPSCom 2012.
Topics of interest include (but are not restricted to):
- Security and dependability in the Internet of the things
- Security and distributed software,
- Security of large-scale infrastructures,
- Security in embedded systems,
- Security and operating systems,
- Security and programming languages,
- Security of transactions,
- Security policies and access control,
- Trust and middleware,
- Intrusion and anomaly detection,
- Dependability assessment, test and validation,
- Certification models for dependable systems,
- Evaluation and measure of dependability properties,
- Visualization of security.
Submission instructions
Authors are invited to submit full papers (max 6 pages) or short papers (max 3 pages), where the page limit includes figures, tables, and references. Short papers should clearly present the research area of authors and sum up the preliminary contributions and/or results. Full papers should develop the author’s contributions and results details.
Submitted papers will receive 3 peer reviews. Accepted papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society (EI indexed). Papers should be formatted in the standard two-column, 10 pt font, IEEE conference paper format. The camera ready version of the paper should include a short biography of the main author that will present the paper at the workshop. A submission link will be provided on the workshop website.
Each submission should be regarded as an undertaking that, if the paper is accepted, at least one of the authors must attend the iThings conference to present the work at the 3SL workshop.
Important Dates
Paper submission: May 25th, 2012 (firm deadline).
Decision notification: June 15th, 2012.
Camera ready: June 29th, 2012
