Topics/Call fo Papers
The Fourth International Workshop on Network Traffic Control, Analysis and Applications (NTCAA-2012)
http://www-id.kuma.u-tokai.ac.jp/ntcaa2012/
November 12-14, 2012 at University of Victoria, Victoria, Canada
In conjunction with The Seventh International Conference on Broadband and Wireless Computing, Communication and Applications
http://www.lsi.upc.edu/~net4all/BWCCA-2012/index.h...
Call For Papers
Scope:
Networks of today are getting very complex. Therefore, network traffic control and analysis are very important aspects that should be investigated. Alo, new paradigms for solving complex problems by enabling large-scale aggregation and sharing of computational, data and other geographically distributed resources are appearing. Now, new types of networks with different features and characteristics are integretaed together. These topics require the investigation of many issues such as effective harnessing of Internet connected resources, development of new methods and techniques, which offer users a transparent, efficient and secured access to resources, efficient allocation of resources, decentralization and self-organization. These issues present nowadays real challenges to the development of large distributed systems and applications. The aim of this workshop is to present innovative research, methods and techniques related to Network Traffic Control, Network Performance Analysis and Evaluation, Network Security, P2P, Ad-Hoc Networks, Sensor Networks and Internet computing.
The workshop seeks original contributions in all relevant areas, including but not limited to the following topics.
Topics:
Wireless Networks Applications
Broadband Networks Traffic Control and Applications
Network Security
Network Protocols
Network Performance Analysis and Evaluation
Communication Protocols and Architectures
Multimedia Networking
Traffic Engineering
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Systems
Mobile and Context-aware Computing
Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks
Embedded System and Networking
Quality of Services (QoS)
Parallel/Distributed System
Ubiquitous/Pervasive Networks and Computing
Important Dates:
Submission Deadline : May 15, 2012
Notification of acceptance: June 30, 2012
Final Manuscript: July 30, 2012
Author Registration: July 30, 2012
Conference Dates: November 12-14, 2012
Submission Guidelines:
Authors are invited to submit their research papers following the IEEE Conference Publishing Service Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced, including figures and references, using 10 fonts, and number each page. The papers should be 6 pages long. They will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. The papers should be submitted by email to Takuo Nakashima (e-mail: taku-AT-ktmail.tokai-u.jp) or to Leonard Barolli (e-mail: barolli-AT-fit.ac.jp). If there is any problem during submission please contact any of the Workshop Co-chairs. Accepted papers will be given guidelines in preparing and submitting the final manuscript(s) together with the notification of acceptance.
