Topics/Call fo Papers
I. AIM AND SCOPE
Power system protection has nowadays become one of the issues to challenge by power
system researchers and engineers. Protecting the power system aims at preserving the assets,
and ensures continued supply of energy. This special issue on power system protection is
devoted to research works that investigate and suggest solutions dealing with this main subject.
Many topics relevant to the main subject are included (listed below). The proposal is an
attempt to promote research in this field, address practical problems and assess the feasibility
of the research-proposed solutions.
II. TOPICS COVERED
Authors are invited to submit their original and unpublished work in the areas including the
following:
? Power system relaying
? Phasor measurement unit
? Power system communication (means and protocols)
? Power system reliability
? Optimization in power system
? Wide area monitoring and control
? Power quality
? Renewable energy systems.
III. IMPORTANT DATES
- May 30, 2012: Submission deadline
- August 15, 2012: Notification of the first-round review
