HPPM 2012 - International Workshop on High Performance Platform Management (HPPM 2012)
Topics/Call fo Papers
Recent years have seen a powerful increase in large-scale, high-performance distributed infrastructures that reach across organizational and national borders. The strong trends to data centre re-centralization, catalyzed by the advent of virtualized infrastructures, compound the range of high-performance platforms and have spawned new commercial computing options, e.g., Cloud Computing. While creating new opportunities for applications, this proliferation also presents challenges to the operation of management of the resulting high-performance IT platforms.
HPPM aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from the domains of distributed large-scale computing applications, operations and management. The workshop will include presentations of contributed high-quality papers in these areas.
The Workshop topics include (but are not limited to) the following:
Architectures
Management in Grids
Management of Supercomputing installations
Virtual Organizations
Management and Operation of Clouds and IaaX
Novel Applications in the Cloud
Management of Clusters
Management Extensions to Middleware
Scheduling and Resource Management
Virtualized Environments
Host Virtualization Management
Networks Virtualization Management
Storage Virtualization Management
I/O Systems Virtualization
IT Service Management
Network and Interconnects
High-speed/High-capacity Links
Protocols
Performance
Functional Areas
Fault and Configuration Management
Performance Management and Accounting
Security Management
Benchmarking and Measurments
PAPER SUBMISSIONS
HPPM 2012 welcomes submission of full papers (7 pages) as well as short papers (4 pages) on work in progress. Submitted papers must not have been published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Submission should include a cover page with authors' names, affiliation addresses, fax numbers, phone numbers, and authors email addresses. Please, indicate clearly the corresponding author and include up to 6 keywords from the above list of topics and an abstract of no more than 400 words. The full manuscript should be at most 7 pages using the two-column IEEE format. Additional pages will be charged at additional fee. Short papers (up to 4 pages), poster papers and posters (please refer to http://hpcs2012.cisedu.info/home/posters for the submission details) will also be accepted for submission. Please include page numbers on all submissions to make it easier for reviewers to provide helpful comments.
