SCCG 2012 - International Workshop on Soft Computing Techniques in Cluster and Grid Computing Systems
Topics/Call fo Papers
1st International Workshop on Soft Computing Techniques in Cluster and Grid Computing Systems -- SCCG
http://www.fing.edu.uy/cluster/sccg/
Part of the
Seventh International Conference on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing -- 3PGCIC
http://www.lsi.upc.edu/~net4all/3PGCIC-2012/
November 12-14, 2012
Victoria, Canada
SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES
The resolution of complex problems often requires the use advanced approximate algorithms and huge computational resources to find accurate solutions in reasonable time. We look for high quality publications proposing new parallel metaheuristics designed for large parallel systems as Grid or cluster computing. Additionally, works proposing novel metaheuristic algorithms applied to solve complex problems in the context of Grid and cluster computing are of interest too. Therefore, the topics covered by this track include (but are not limited to) the following ones:
- Parallel evolutionary algorithms
- Parallel metaheuristics
- Massively parallel algorithms
- Parallel optimization frameworks
- Complex and real-world problems
- Performance measures
- Reliable algorithms on uncertain environments
- Test benchmarks
- Competitive parallel algorithms
- Cooperative parallel algorithms
- Parallel algorithms on clusters of GPGPUs
- Peer to peer algorithms
- Volunteer computing
- Ubiquitous computing
- Cloud computing
- Grid computing
- Metaheuristics for scheduling
- Real-world problems
- Soft computing tools and frameworks for cluster and Grid computing
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
Authors are invited to submit full papers not more than six (6) pages (CPS proceedings manuscripts: two columns, single-spaced), including figures and references, using 10 pt. font size, and number each page. The formatting instructions for authors are available at the IEEE CPS web page: http://www.computer.org/portal/site/cscps.
Prepare your paper in PDF file and submit it electronically to the 3PGCIC-2012 web page:
http://edas.info/N12011
(Choose SCCG-2012)
Accepted papers will be published by the IEEE Computer Society's Conference Publishing Services (CPS) and archived in the Digital Library (CSDL, IEEE Xplore, IEEE IEL). Authors will be given guidelines in preparing and submitting the final manuscript(s) together with the notification of acceptance.
Authors of the best papers submitted to the workshop will be invited to submit their extended versions to Cluster Computing: Special Issue on Soft Computing Techniques in Cluster and Grid Computing Systems. Cluster Computing, The Journal of Networks, Software Tools and Applications (2010 Impact Factor: 0.679) is indexed on SCI, SCOPUS, INSPEC, Google Scholar, EBSCO, CSA, ACM Digital Library, CSI, DBLP, JCR/SE, and others.
