Topics/Call fo Papers

In this webinar, the speakers will showcase the selection and optimization of long-acting microsphere formulations with releases ranging from weeks to one year.
The speakers will discuss the chemistry of lactide/glycolide-based bioresorbable polymers applied to various parenteral formulations and a microsphere technology platform that offers reproducible, scalable and consistent critical quality attributes under current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) for multiple therapeutic indications.
They will explain the chemistry, key characteristics and versatility of lactide/glycolide polymers and show how challenges in controlled drug release formulations and medical devices can be solved. They will also introduce their NEW viatel™ Ultrapure polymer grades and detail the advantages of ultra-low residual monomer specifications.
The speakers will also present two microsphere case studies: (1) a peptide formulation development with varied release needs and (2) a small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) from formulation development through scale-up, highlighting common scale-up challenges and solutions. These case studies showcase how varying process parameters and polymer chemistries based on lactide and glycolide make it possible to optimize drug load, release duration, particle size and encapsulation efficiency.
Register for this webinar on long-acting injectables to learn about the selection and optimization of long-acting microsphere formulations with releases ranging from weeks to one year.
