Australasia’s premier geophysical event, the 22nd International Geophysical Conference and Exhibition, will be held in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia from 26 ? 29 February 2012. This event provides you with a world class forum to showcase your latest technical advances and research achievements in all areas of geophysics.
On behalf of the Conference Organising Committee, the Technical Program Committee, chaired by Dr Binzhong Zhou, invites you to register your interest as a presenter by clicking here and providing a few key points on the theme of your oral and/or poster presentation. Our conference theme of “Unearthing New Layers” recognises that transformational change within our industry remains achievable, and as such we invite contributions from all geophysical and related disciplines, highlighting the application of geophysics in diverse industries from resource exploitation to environmental and engineering applications.
You will be required to submit an expression of interest before submitting your Extended Abstract, and these will go through a review process. The extended abstract must follow the Extended Abstract Format & Layout Guidelines. The deadline for submission of the extended abstract is Friday, 2 September 2011. Accepted authors will receive notification by Friday, 14 October 2011 and will be reminded to register before Tuesday, 15 November 2011, the expiration of the Early Bird Registration. Failure of authors to register by this date will result in their extended abstract being removed from the program.
The Conference Organising Committee recognises the time and effort it takes for authors to prepare extended abstracts and so for the 2012 Conference, we have departed from the previous practice of requiring two submissions from authors. The Registration of Interest process will also provide the Technical Program Committee the ability to determine a preliminary program early, and promote it to our intended delegates. The Conference Organising Committee are looking forward to presenting a technically strong program for the 22nd International Geophysical Conference and Exhibition and welcome you, the contributors, to assist us to achieve this aim.
Authors can select up to three of the following themes that their submission relates to.
