WESAAC 2012 - 2012 Workshop and School of Agent Systems, their Environment, and Applications (WESAAC)
Topics/Call fo Papers
The WESAAC 2012 will be held in Florianópolis - SC, at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), on days 2, 3 and 4 May 2012, with the support of the Graduate Programs in Engineering of Automation and Systems (PGEAS ) and Computer Science (PPGCC) of UFSC and the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC).
The main objective of this sixth edition of WESAAC is to integrate researchers and students at all levels in the area of ??Agents and Agent Systems, disclose the activities of several research groups in Brazil, allowing the exchange of knowledge and experience. To this end, the event consists of a combination of workshops and lectures (the "school"), made ??by experienced researchers, and presentations of papers and extended abstracts (the "workshop").
Researchers, graduate students, doctoral and graduate are invited to submit papers in Portuguese or English, in PDF format, produced using the style of the SBC, available at this link. Papers that do not follow this format can be disregarded. The proceedings will be published electronically, with ISBN.
Extended versions of three of the best works WESAAC 2012, selected by the Program Committee, will be published in RITA - Journal of Theoretical and Applied Computing (http://seer.ufrgs.br/rita).
Papers in two ways:
* Full Papers describing research on consolidated results, with a maximum of 12 pages for oral presentation.
* Extended abstracts describing work in progress or initial proposals, with a maximum of 4 pages for presentation in poster form.
The papers submitted to the event should address issues relating to some aspect of the definition and development of agents or agent systems, such as (but not restricted to):
* Theories and architectures for agents (reasoning, BDI, belief revision)
* Agent communications (languages??, protocols, tools)
* Cooperation / coordination in MAS (negotiation, argumentation, reputation)
* SMA organization and standards
* Agent systems and social networks
* Social simulation and agent-based simulation
* Pedagogical aspects of agents
* Learning in agent systems
* SMA-based development (languages, platforms, methodologies)
* Specification and verification of agent systems
* Application of agents and agent systems
