The aim of the Workshop is to bring together experts in the field of infectious animal disease modeling to compare, evaluate and assess the state of the art on the use of computational power, innovative Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and sophisticated modeling approaches at different scales informed by detailed data sets to evaluate treatment and control strategies for zoonotic disease in real time. This session will be advertized among the members of the DHS Center of Excellence for Emerging and Zoonotic Animal Disease in USA as well as member of EpiFor-Complexity and predictability of epidemics: toward a computational infrastructure for epidemic forecasts in EU. The workshop will also be advertized in the institutions of the PC members and posted in proper email lists.
