Abstract
The workshop "The International Workshop on Green Smartphone Technologies (GST 2012)" intends to provide a forum and foster discussion on green technologies available on smartphone platforms and applications. The golden age of communication can quickly turn sour when your battery dies, and it usually happens when you most need it. Because today's smartphones are equiped with high-resolution touchscreens, accelerators, Bluetooth, GPS navigation, Wi-Fi and mobile broadband access. By exploiting various green technologies on smarthpones, we can achieve a longer battery lifetime with this numerous types of sensors. The workshop aims to be multi-disciplinary issues that related to energy efficiency, mobile computing, embedded systems and application software. The International Workshop on Green Smartphone Technologies (GST 2012), aims to bring academicians and researchers to present novel ideas and discuss their design and developments in green platforms and applications on smartphones.
